‘Exceptional WRESTLEMANIA EDITION’ OF WWE SMACKDOWN SET FOR APRIL 9

The last SmackDown before WrestleMania 37 will be a “Exceptional WrestleMania Edition” of the show.

It was declared today that SmackDown’s WrestleMania 37 return home show on Friday, April 9 is being marked as the Special WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown. It will highlight Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Edge, and Daniel Bryan tending to the crowd in front of their triple danger championship at WrestleMania. Furthermore, a SmackDown Tag Team championship and the current year’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will happen on the scene.

The SmackDown Tag Team championship on the Special WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown will be a deadly four-path with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode guarding against The Street Profits, Rey and Dominik Mysterio, and Chad Gable and Otis.

Except for a year ago, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has occurred yearly since it was presented at WrestleMania 30 of every 2014. This will be the first run through the fight imperial has occurred at a show other than WrestleMania. The current year’s members are:

The Special WrestleMania Edition of SmackDown is being taped at the WWE ThunderDome this week and will air in SmackDown’s ordinary 8-10 p.m. Eastern schedule opening on Fox on April 9.

WrestleMania 37 is occurring on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11. Rules versus Edge versus Bryan for the Universal Championship will feature night two’s card.
