ONE Championship will make a triumphant return to the most revered location in Muay Thai on June 27 with a major event in its weekly Asia primetime event series.
Bangkok’s storied Lumpinee Stadium will host ONE Friday Fights 114, which will feature 12 exciting martial arts bouts fought under three distinct rule sets in front of a full house.
In the main event, Felipe “Demolition Man” Lobo, a former two-time ONE World Title contender, will compete in a high-stakes bantamweight Muay Thai bout against rising Thai destroyer “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai, putting his show-stopping abilities to the test.
Lobo is now rated third in the division, and the only opponents he has lost to in ONE have kept gold. The 32-year-old cemented his position in the top echelon and increased his chances of winning the World Title in February by stopping Saemapetch Fairtex, a consistent top-five challenger.
Kulabdam is also having a lot of success. After putting together three strong wins and entertaining fans with his all-action style, the heavy-handed southpaw appears to be in the best form of his 99-fight professional career.
Lower on the schedule, Aslamjon Ortikov, an unbeaten Uzbekistani sensation, will face Thai sensation Petsukumvit Boi Bangna in an attempt to win a coveted six-figure contract and record his eighth consecutive ONE victory.
The 22-year-old Ortikov has enthralled fans with his extraordinary skills and vicious finishing instincts, despite the fact that both flyweight Muay Thai standouts are renowned for their superior technical abilities and aggressive approach.
He is aware that defeating Petsukumvit, a former two-time Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, will get him closer to a position on ONE’s main roster.
At ONE Friday Fights 114, Ortikov won’t be the only striking prodigy competing; adolescent sensation Ramadan “The Scorpion” Ondash will face deadly knockout artist Chartpayak Saksatoon in what promises to be his most difficult test to yet.
Throughout his perfect three-fight run in ONE, Ondash has looked absolutely amazing. The 18-year-old Lebanese striker appears to have all the makings of a potential international superstar with his bold confidence and crowd-pleasing flair.
However, Chartpayak has become a formidable finisher and one of Muay Thai’s fastest-rising stars.
With five knockouts in seven exciting appearances at ONE Friday Fights, the Thai is undefeated and might perhaps earn a spot on the organization’s international roster if he wins.
Fans also won’t want to miss the explosive atomweight bout between Japan’s best-ever Muay Thai fighter, Nadaka Yoshinari, and Banluelok Sitwatcharachai.
Even though Nadaka has a ton of trophy cases, a long list of professional achievements, and a convincing knockout victory in his ONE debut, Thailand’s Banluelok, who has three highlight-reel stoppages in three appearances at ONE Friday Fights, will pose a severe threat to him.
With the highly anticipated debuts of PTT Apichart Farm and Yonis Anane, the next chapter in the long-running rivalry between Seksan Or Kwanmuang and Muangthai PK Saenchai, and much more, the rest of the field is packed with top talent battling in action-packed contests.
