Troy football declares spring practice schedule, sets T-Day date

Hold steady Troy fans, football is on the way. Wednesday, the athletics department announced the spring football training schedule and tje date for the T-Day spring game.

After an occupied offseason including a head coaching change, the Troy Trojans will open spring practice March 19. After a month, the Trojans will have their yearly T-Day game April 20 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

“I’m really looking forward to getting out on the field and getting to know our players,” said new Troy head football coach Chip Lindsey. “We’ve been focused hard on closing out the recruiting class, and the staff has been on the road a lot since coming on board. We’ll have a month to prepare for spring practice and really evaluate our players on film before we get them on the field.”

Lindsey joins the Trojans in the wake of filling in as Auburn’s offensive coordinator the last couple of seasons and had briefly been a part of Les Miles’ coaching staff at Kansas before taking the head coaching position at Troy.

The Trojans are falling off a record-setting season. The Trojans made school history by hoarding its third consecutive season of at least 10 wins.

A kick time for T-Day has not been announced.
