Taipei Open 2025 Badminton: Squads, Draws, Schedule and Live Streaming Detail

Taipei Open 2025 badminton competition, which begins in Chinese Taipei on Tuesday, India will be led by former world No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth, as well as up-and-coming players Anmol Kharb and Unnati Hooda.

Currently rated 61st in the world, Srikanth has had a challenging run of injuries and inconsistent play.

This is an exciting all-India matchup, as Sankar recently made headlines by shocking then-world No. 2 Anders Antonsen at the Swiss Open.

Ayush Shetty, 20, who placed third in the 2023 World Juniors, will face local third seed Lee Chia Hao in the men’s singles, while Tharun Mannepalli and Meiraba Luwang Maisnam will face Shogo Ogawa (Japan) and Canadian seventh seed Brian Yang, respectively.

India has a lot of potential in the women’s singles division as well. In the first round, rising talents Unnati Hooda and Anupama Upadhyaya square off. Asian Team Championship winner Anmol Kharb faces a qualifier, while Anupama is fresh off a victory at the Sudirman Cup that lifted spirits.

Sim Yu Jin, the second seed from Korea, will be a difficult test for Rakshitha Sree, while Aakarshi Kashyap will start her challenge against Hung Yi-Ting of Chinese Taipei.
