Steve Curry joins Warriors fans mocking Boston Bar for insulting Ayesha

When the Boston Bar posted a sign reading “Ayesha Curry Can’t Cook” during the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors fans made sure to taunt Bar after a 43-point blast from Steve Curry in Game 4.

After the Warriors won Game 5 on Monday night and took a 3-2 lead in the series, Curry himself was mocking the bar’s potential series-jinxing sign.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Curry wore a custom T-shirt, “Ayesha Curry Can Cook,” and swiped clearly on Game On, a bar outside Fenway Park displaying the sign. One reporter in the room seemed unaware of the context behind the shirt and wondered why Curry wore a shirt that said celebrity chefs can cook. Finally, he wears a shirt that reads, “Steve Curry can play basketball.”

“You should ask around the room and ask on Twitter,” Curry replied.

Curry finished with 16 points in Game 5 and snapped 233 straight regular season and post-season game streaks with three-pointers. The last time he played a game without a single three was in November 2018.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been happier after 0 nights of any kind, just knowing the context of the game, other ways you tried to influence the game and you had four kids step up. Meaningful ways to help us win offensively,” Curry said after the game. .

The Warriors will have a chance to close the series on Thursday night, when the series returns to Boston for the last time for Game 6. We’ll see if there are any new signs in the bar or if they would prefer to hide under a rock. The Warriors are now 2-0 in the game since the icon was found.
