Sony’s revolutionary Xperia 1 V goes up for US pre-orders with two deals sweeteners

The Xperia 1 V, which was unveiled earlier this week at a recommended US price of $1,399.99, appears to have the same two major flaws as virtually all of its ultra-high-end forerunners. The first is clearly that misrepresented sticker price, which makes this new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 stalwart a larger number of costly than all of the best Android telephones accessible today, and the second is a mysteriously far off July 28 release date.

Best Buy is bringing early adopters one step closer to owning Sony’s latest mobile flagship by launching the official pre-order process and sweetening what seems like a hard-to-swallow deal with a free $50 gift card and a complimentary pair of true wireless LinkBuds, despite not completely resolving those two major issues.

Although technically the two pre-order gifts have a combined value of 230 dollars, the “open-ear” Sony LinkBuds can be found for significantly less than $179.99 these days.

However, if you wanted to be one of the first people in the world to own the 5G-enabled Xperia 1 V beast and test out its ground-breaking new stacked CMOS image sensor, these freebies might convince you to go ahead.

The other two rear-facing cameras are nothing to sneeze at either, and that cutting-edge “Exmor T for mobile” sensor promises to vastly improve the already impressive photography performance of the Xperia 1 IV from last year, particularly in low-light environments.

Then there is the almost unrivaled 6.5-inch 4K OLED display, which is capable of playing… basically everything you throw at it in perfect clarity and top-notch quality. Under the hood, the phone has a hefty 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W charging speeds. Perhaps the most important feature in its battle with the best high-end phones available is that it has both a microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
