KL Rahul set to miss England visit, to travel to another country for treatment

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen to send KL Rahul to another country for treatment, and almost certainly, the India opener and bad habit chief will have treatment in Germany. The 30-year-old is down with a repetitive crotch injury and is set to miss the excursion to England, where India plays seven games.

Rahul traveling to another country has been affirmed to Cricbuzz by the BCCI. “That is right, the board is dealing with his wellness and he will be going to Germany soon,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah told Cricbuzz on Thursday (June 16). Rahul is probably going to fly out to Germany before the current month’s over or early July.

The conspicuous ramifications of the abroad treatment is Rahul will miss the England visit, where India are to play one Test (from July 1 to 5) and six white ball games – three Twenty20 Internationals and as numerous ODIs.
