The sport of football is perhaps one of the few topics in the world that pretty much everyone would agree on. The sport brings joy and delight to millions around the world and in a way is part of the world heritage. Now, Princess Rani Vanouska Modely wants to take the sport to the next level.

Many personalities from the football world like Antoine Griezmann, are supporting this great cause to archieve this goal by creating “a legacy for people using the magic of Football”.

Why does Princess Rani Vanouska . Modely thinks football can change the World? The world’s systems are crumbling under economic crises, the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, human rights problems, and so on. With this in mind, the candidacy seeks to encourage the signatory states of UNESCO and the world of football to adopt policies to support and finance social, educational, and charitable initiatives.

Rani Vanouska Modely had this idea of making football a part of UNESCO’s list of World Heritage when she walked down the stairs of the famous UEFA blue carpet of the Grimaldi Forum. Right then and there she knew that she had to take a step forward in the field. The Peace Activist has been hard at work to connect with people and get 185 countries together for the cause. “In a crisis, the human instinct is often to turn inwards, to close borders and fend for yourself. But football has to power to unite us all and break down all the walls between people and nations.” Rani Vanouska Modely said.

Rani Vanouska Modely’s engagement is one of the biggest reasons why Havas Group, Vincent Boloré and Jacques Seguela has admired her over the years. He is considered to be a legend for football fans around the globe and he is currently FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development.

He shared, “Football is an excellent example of how sports can lead to compassion, tolerance and extraordinary happiness around the around the world”

As someone who has been one of the most successful managers for Arsenal Football Club, his words carry a lot of weight and respect. He is a comitee member of the Football World Heitage Organisation and has been actively involved with the cause since the begining. Arsene Wenger and Princess Rani Vanouska were together in Qatar for the Final of the FIFA World cup of Clubs.

During their trip to Doha, Arsene Wenger signed the Football World Heritage Pledge to support the Candidacy of Football as a World Heritage at UNESCO. Apart from this,  the two signed the pledge with Footballers Almoez Ali Zainalabiddin Abdullah better know as Al Moez to represent his country Qatar, in this UNESCO candidacy.

The footballer signed the contract with the official organisation Football World Heritage, that aims to gather the 185 member states of UNESCO in a ceremony in Doha, which was attended by Princess Rani Vanouska Modely and Arsène Wenger.

Almoez Ali is the first Qatari footballer to be a part of the cause and his involvement has added to the campaign led by the Princess. In a tweet, Ali shared his joy about the opportunity and wrote, “I think football can change the world, so I am proud to join this global movement as an ambassador representing my country Qatar.”

The Football World Heritage is moving forward in the strong leadership of Rani Vanouska Modely. With her efforts, determination and involvement, it appears that soon enough the game of football will get recognition from UNESCO and become a part of World Heritage.
