AHF: LEAKED: THE SCHEDULE FOR THE PARIS 2024 HOCKEY OLYMPIC TOURNAMENTS

The schedule for hockey competition at Paris 2024, which will take place from July 27 to August 9, was unveiled by FIH President Tayyab Ikram and President Thomas Bach of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) earlier today at a ceremony held at the Olympic House in Lausanne.

In Colombes, close to Paris, the historic Yves-du-Manoir Stadium—an Olympic Games arena in 1924!—will host the hockey tournaments of the XXXIII Olympiad. Dutch women and Belgian men, the current gold medal winners from the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, will compete in the event as will 12 men’s and 12 women’s national teams in an attempt to win the highly sought Olympic medals.

The Paris 2024 hockey tournaments for both men and women will begin on July 27. At 10:00 CEST on March 24, the men’s Pool A hockey match between Great Britain and Spain will be the first game played in Paris 2024. The match will feature only players from Europe. On the same evening at 19:45 CEST, the women’s competition will get underway. In the women’s Pool B match, Argentine silver medalists from Tokyo 2020 will take on the United States in an attempt to advance further.

Men’s hockey was introduced during the London 1908 Olympic Games and will be played for the 25th time at the Olympics in Paris in 2024. Women’s hockey, on the other hand, will be played for the 12th consecutive Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 after making its debut during the Moscow 1980 Olympic Games.
