Pearland wins first game of Little League World Series elimination bracket after losing to Hawaii

Pearland won the first elimination game of the Little League World Series on Tuesday against a Midwest Region team in Davenport, Iowa.

With tonight’s win, Pearland is now set to play the team they beat on Monday, August 8 in front of a crowd of over 18,000.

If Pearland wins again, they will play again on Thursday, either vs

Against Tennessee or Hawaii again. If they lose, it’s over.

Pearland Little League appeared in elimination games after defeating Hawaii on Monday night.

“It’s not the end of the world,” coach Rob Zurek said. “It’s a different feeling when you’ve been undefeated so far, right? When you walk away from the field without winning it and without getting a hit – I think that’s the biggest thing – we weren’t hitting like we usually do. This was not a typical Pearland Little League game.”
