Nassau County Cricket Stadium: Construction Completes in One Month in Time for 2024 T20 World Cup in New York

In the final month leading up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which gets underway on June 1, the construction of the modular Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York has advanced greatly.

Eight tournament matches, including the eagerly awaited match between archrivals India and Pakistan, will take place in the 34,000-seat stadium. For the duration of the group stages, India will play on the field alongside hosts USA and Ireland.

Cranes have been putting the modular framework for the stadium’s East Stand, which can hold 12,500 spectators, into place for the past month. The East Stand framework has been progressively taking shape over the last few weeks, with work on the outfield having begun in January.

The USA and the West Indies will share hosting duties for the nine locations of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
