India’s one and only practice match before the T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to take place against Bangladesh. These are the specifics for the live webcast.
At the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Saturday, Team India will play their one and only warm-up match in advance of the 2024 T20 World Cup versus Bangladesh. Prior to the players splitting up for their individual IPL 2024 campaigns, India’s last international match in the format took place in January of this year during a home series against Afghanistan.
Prior to the game, India held two practise sessions. On Friday, they held an optional training day where they concentrated on Hardik Pandya’s rigorous bowling routines and tail-end batting. Virat Kohli, who arrived in New York on Friday night after purportedly extending his leave following the 2024 Indian Premier League, did not, however, attend any of the practise sessions. It’s unclear if Kohli will play in the practice match against Bangladesh.
India will also be playing three of its four T20 World Cup group-stage matches at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, where this will be the team’s maiden visit. Before their opening game against Ireland on June 5 and their tantalizing match against Pakistan on June 9, captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will be closely monitoring the pitch conditions.
Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup campaign will first off on June 8 at Grand Prairie Stadium in Florida against Sri Lanka, and on June 10 in New York against South Africa. Bangladesh is a member of Group D.
