Dodgers come roaring back, move into first

LOS ANGELES – After four long months, the Dodgers are back in the lead position in the National League West.

The Dodgers sorted out an assembly in the eighth to dig out from a deficit against the Braves and secure a series clear in the 4-3 win on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium. Combined with the Giants’ misfortune to the Brewers, the Dodgers presently have a half-game lead on the NL West standings.

In spite of getting an early lead with Max Scherzer on the hill as he threw six scoreless innings, the Dodgers expected to push across against Atlanta’s warm up area after Brusdar Graterol gave up a two-run homer in the seventh.

The second that push Los Angeles back into the lead position accompanied AJ Pollock at the plate and Justin Turner on a respectable halfway point. Pollock singled through the opening at shortstop and Turner sped around the bases, sliding straight into home.
