2-0 victory to begin their European tour for the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team

22 May (ANI), Breda, Netherlands: The Dutch club Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push was defeated 2-0 by the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team in Breda, Netherlands, to kick off the team’s European tour. To ensure that India won, Hina Bano and Kanika Siwach put their names on the scoreboard.

There was no goal in the first quarter, even though both teams had opportunities through penalty corners. The first goal escaped India, a team keen to seize the initiative and start their campaign well. Similarly, in the second quarter, India was unable to convert any of their three penalty corners.

After a vital penalty corner for India, the score was tied at zero until Hina Bano’s goal in the third quarter broke the tie. Bredase Hockey Vereniging Push led the third quarter despite their determined efforts to tie the score, as they failed to convert any of their three penalty corners.

Kanika Siwach doubled India’s lead in the fourth and final quarter as the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team defeated the Dutch club. In the closing minutes of the game, the Indian defense played superbly to keep a clean sheet and secure the win.

The Indian Junior Women’s team will play their next match against Belgium in Breda, Netherlands on 22nd May.
