Ireland Women Announces their White-ball Teams for their Match Against Zimbabwe

Gaby Lewis will be the captain of the T20I and ODI teams, while her deputy will be Orla Prendergast.

Lara McBride, who is 19 years old, has been called up to the Ireland team for the first time. After representing Ireland at the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in January of this year, the youthful right-arm off-spinner won a berth in the team thanks to her impressive performances in the Evoke Super Series.

The first of three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) in the series will take place at Pembroke Cricket Club on July 20. Two ODIs, which will be held at Stormont, will follow the T20Is.

Ireland has won all seven of their meetings with Zimbabwe, giving them an outstanding record in Twenty20 Internationals. In ODIs, they are equally dominant; Ireland has won six of eight games, with one ending in a draw.
