NFL’s Alex Smith re-visitations of play two years after a dangerous leg injury

Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith entered a NFL game Sunday for the first time since enduring a hazardous leg injury very nearly two years back.

Smith took speaks harshly to quarterback after Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins was benched and backup Kyle Allen was harmed in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

His family loved it, standing and cheering his return.

Smith supported the staggering leg injury subsequent to being sacked against the Houston Texans in November 2018 and endured a spiral and compound fracture to his right tibia and fibula. He has since gone through 17 surgeries.

He was left battling for his life subsequent to contracting sepsis – the body’s hazardous reaction to infection – and almost needed to have his leg amputated.

Smith’s recuperation from injury was documented in “Project 11,” an hour-long program that aired on ESPN recently.

“No NFL player has ever been through what Alex Smith has,” said Andy Tennant, “E60” executive producer. “He’s normally a very private person but he wanted to document his road to recovery as well and as detailed as possible, with the hope that future players could use it as a road map.”

Smith’s vibe acceptable rebound did little for Washington’s on-field play on Sunday. He finished nine of 17 passes for only 37 yards and was sacked six times in a 30-10 loss to the Rams.
