If the first match of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore was the southern derby of IPL then today’s match between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals is rightly the northern derby.

Both the teams have some similarities because both of them are heavily dependent on their batting. KXIP have Chris Gayle, KL Rahul, and Mayank Agarwal who are in fiery form and DC have Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, and Rishabh Pant.

Both the teams won their last matches. It was an easy win for KXIP against MI but on the same night, DC literally fought with KKR to snatch the victory from right below their noses.

Both the team will be having the right amount of momentum but the way DC played in the last match they will be on cloud nine.

KXIP will have a slight edge against DC because this is their second consecutive home game. KXIP’s depth in the batting, as well as the experience that they have in the bowling, will be plus point for them today.

The pitch is hard and best for batting second.

Expect an unchanged side today.
