Grayson Murray throws putter at US Open Meltdown, clubs snap-on knee

The way Grayson Murray treated his club in the final of the US Open paid tribute to his father everywhere.

Murray at Sunday’s Father’s Day Action in Brooklyn, Mass. Entered the country club here at 8-over, but it was all downhill from there.

On the seventh hole, Murray struggled to get to the fairway. Finally, while dropping the double bogey, he missed the cup, and after tapping for the triple bogey, he launched his putter into the fescue.

After hitting 42 on the front nine on the 10th hole, the 28-year-old Murray was not happy after hitting his second shot deep into the rough. In frustration he snapped the club on his knee.
