Well in the first game today we have the clash of the kings….YES, its CHENNAI SUPER KINGS vs KINGS 11 PUNJAB. The kings of the North against the kings of the South. It would be a very interesting match no doubt assuming the current winning streak kxip is in and the last loss csk had to face. Being on number 3 & 4 in the points table both the teams would want to win this one and prove their supremacy.
The well balanced side of CSK have a little to worry about their top order batsmen and too much dependence on Dhoni. The last game against MI showed them how much they need MSD to perform for them in every game. The top order had a disastrous collapse and therefore costed them losing the match against MI. Kings 11 Punjab on the other hand with 3 wins in 4 matches would look to continue their winning streak. Both the teams would be looking for some changes as Dhoni mentioned in the last post match presentation that he needs to find the perfect 11 while it’s a good news for Ashwin as Chris Gayle is fit and fine and reday for a comeback.
Also Ashwin being the local boy and his association with CSK from 2008 to 2015, his experience would be fruitful for the punjabi’s. Also Sam Curran with his hat trick against Delhi Capitals would be having his expectations high.
On the contrary for CSK, Imran Tahir has proved to be a good bet as he has managed to pick wickets in the 4 matches he’s played. A little worry for CSK would be the form of Ambati Ryudu as he’s not managed to be in full swing and has had a disappointing IPL-2019 so for.
According to the pitch report, Spinners will have a good time and batsmen too will have to spend some time at the wicket to get some runs. Any score above or around 165-170 would be a nice total.
